My name is Esam and I am 4 years old. I have spent most of my life living in tents and moving from one displacement camp to another. I was not even two years old when the war started, so I do not remember my father or what it is like to live in a real home. Life in the camps is all I have ever known. Because of the hardships we face, there are many foods I have never seen before, and my world has been shaped by what little is available. Despite this, I am a happy and curious child who loves cameras and enjoys making people smile. During a recent visit, I received some sweets, which quickly became my favourite treat.
