My name is Abdul and I am 76 years old. I live in a small village in Pakistan, where I worked the fields for most of my life. Over the past few years, my eyes had grown so cloudy that I could no longer see my grandchildren’s faces clearly, and travelling to a city hospital was too far and too costly for my family. Thanks to a WF-AID supported medical camp held near our village, I was able to see a specialist and have my eyes properly examined for the first time. The doctor told me my eyes can be treated, and the relief on my wife’s face when I told her was something I will not forget. I looked forward to the day I could read my Quran with my own eyes again.
