My name is Hassan and I am 10 years old. I live in a village in rural Pakistan where, for as long as I can remember, my family had to fetch water from a distant well that often ran dry in the summer months. My mum would send me with my older brother before sunrise so that we could be back before school with water. Thanks to the WF-AID Ali Asghar Water Appeal, a community water point has been built right next to our local mosque, with proper taps and clean filtered water available throughout the day. Now I can drink whenever I am thirsty, perform wudhu before prayers, and still have time to play with my friends after school.
