WF-AID is working inside Syria, through our Coordination Unit to provide medical care for thousands of orphans and widows in the Sayeda Zainab (as) region of Syria.
We will be funding medication, treatments and surgeries to some of the millions of people whose lives have been shattered by the ongoing conflict in the country.
The brutal fighting in Syria is now in its eighth year, causing the situation for the Syrian people to deteriorate further.
The UNOCHA has said there are 13,100,000 people in need. Of those, 5,600,000 of those people are in acute need. 5,800,000 children are in need across the country.
The violence, displacement, living conditions and lack of access to food and water have all had an impact on the health of the Syrian people. With less than half of Syria’s health facilities fully operational, people are in dire need of medical attention.
Our Coordination Unit currently has a number of open requests for different types of treatment, including:
- eye surgeries
- dental surgeries
- joint replacement surgery
- minor and major heart surgeries
- physiotherapy courses
- hearing aids
- artificial limbs, and many more.
As well as this, there are requests for scans, medication, treatment and equipment such as wheelchairs. We need your help to provide people with this urgent and crucial medical treatment.
Donate now to help us meet their needs.
