The conflict in Afghanistan is escalating rapidly, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to flee, leaving them displaced and in need of urgent support.
According to the International Rescue Committee, over 3 million Afghans are internally displaced and over 18 million people in the country are in need of humanitarian aid.
WF-AID and Imam Hasan Foundation are partnering with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), to provide life-changing humanitarian aid to as many people as possible.
Our aid will be delivered in the following ways:
- Access to Critical Information – a signposting project which enables the flow of accurate, accessible, and timely information for people in times of crisis.
- Rapid Impact Cash Assistance – supporting families to buy essential goods and pay for services.
- Health Services – supporting district-level clinics, mobile health clinics as primary health care has been cut off from various forms of support.
- Education and Normalcy for Children – tens of thousands of children are internally displaced, missing out on education. We are working with IRC to provide safe, healing, and learning spaces for children who are internally displaced and missing out on education. This will bring regularity to children who have experienced trauma.
We are also in very close contact with the office of His Eminence, Ayatullah Ishaaq Fayyaz, where we further monitor the situation on the ground.
We are calling on you to help those in need in Afghanistan.
Donate today and help provide emergency help to Afghans in their hour of need.
