We haven’t faced a global pandemic of this size in decades. It is imperative now more than ever for us to work together in collaboration with other organisations doing the same work to avoid duplication. After years of austerity, there were so many people already vulnerable in our UK society and with 1 million more people applying for universal credit in the last two weeks; that number is increasing as a result of Covid-19.
As a UK based charity WF-Aid is working in coordination with a number of coalitions and partners during the pandemic; we are proud to be part of this MCF coalition made up of 16 Muslim Charities to assist the most vulnerable and elderly across the UK amidst the pandemic.
