Qurbani Sadaqah means to give charity out of the goodness of your heart by sacrificing an animal so that it can be gifted to the needy as a source of food.
Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says that: “Everything has a key, and the key to sustenance is charity”. [Bihar vol 47 page 38]
WF-AID facilitates Sadaqah Qurbani across Tanzania and Kenya, where the meat will be distributed to families living in disadvantaged communities.
Giving Sadaqah in times of hardship or in happiness
We live in a world where we have many things to be grateful for. Many of us will have access to food, clean water, education and a reliable income. Unfortunately, there are some who do not have the same luxuries that we have, and it is important to be thankful for the gifts that Allah has granted us.
With WF-AID, you can donate Sadaqah Qurbani, which will be carried out on sheep or goats and the meat distributed to those families who are less fortunate.
Why do we give Sadaqah?
We give charity out of the goodness of our heart and it is an Islamic practice with the aim of helping those deprived and most in need.
Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) is reported to have said: “Cure your sick by giving Sadaqah or charity, and remove troubles and mishaps by giving charity, and increase sustenance with charity. Charity banishes seventy shaitans from what is within one’s beard, and charity goes unto the hand of Allah before it goes unto the hand of the needy”. Bihar vol 96 page 129
