As the holy month of Ramadhan drew to a close, WF-AID marked another successful year in providing vital assistance to deserving families across various regions. The Ramadhan Relief 2024 campaign aimed to ensure that the blessings of the sacred month was shared with those in need through the distribution of Food Packs, Community meals, and Eid gifts.
During this year’s campaign, WF-AID distributed more than 49,000 Food Packs to families struggling with food insecurity. Each food pack contained essential items such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, and pulses, ensuring that families had the necessary ingredients to prepare nourishing meals for Suhoor and Iftar. These food packs were tailored to meet the dietary needs and cultural preferences of the communities they served, bringing comfort and sustenance to countless families.
In addition to the food packs, WF-AID organized Community Meals for almost 89,092* individuals throughout the month of Ramadhan. These meals not only provided nutritious food but also fostered a sense of community and togetherness among participants. Volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare and serve these meals, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to experience the joy of Shahr Ramadhan.
As Eid al-Fitr approached, WF-AID extended its support by distributing Eid gifts to 6,689* children and families. The joy and excitement that these gifts brought to the children were immeasurable, helping to create cherished memories and a sense of inclusion during the festive period.
This year, WF-AID saw an expansive reach in the distribution of Fidya, Fitra, and Kaffara contributions. These essential religious obligations were directed towards the most vulnerable communities. Through your generous contributions, we were able to touch the lives of 6,870* indivduals.
