In Pakistan, according to the Higher Education Commission, every higher-level educational facilities, colleges, and universities should have a central mosque on its premises. Through your donations, we build a mosque in the Al-Fajr University Campus in Mianwali.
Al-Fajr is a university for girls and was opened to help support female education. In the area, education for boys is much easier than for girls, and the opening of this university allows and encourages girls to develop their skills, get a degree, and earn a decent wage. With better education and skills, comes better employment opportunities and in turn, leads to a better quality of life and reduction of poverty.
Approximately 400 people will be using this mosque on a daily basis, with numbers expected to increase once enrollment numbers increase. The mosque was officially opened on 20th March 2021.
