Why have our Food Pack prices increased?
Due to inflation, a rise in the price of food items and the scarcity of food resources in some of the countries we work in, the average price of our Food Packs have risen dramatically over the last two years, particularly around the Holy month of Ramadan. We ask our partners to monitor the prices of food regularly and they have reported a steep rise in recent years in some regions.
This year, the coronavirus outbreak has meant that supplies are even more scarce, resulting in a further price increase.
In order to ensure we are able to continue providing a full pack of food essentials in all of the countries that we serve, we have priced our Food Packs at £55/$65 USD from this year.
We are committed to providing enough quantities of quality food to our beneficiaries and do not want to compromise on amounts, quality or nutritional value.
The Food Packs you donate will contain nutritious and sustainable food, which will feed a family of up to five for a whole month. You can see the contents of our Food Packs here.
