The bitterly cold temperatures this Winter add yet another obstacle to the less fortunate across the globe — those who are already struggling with poverty, have been uprooted from their homes, and lack warm clothing, food, or water. They are then forced to choose between procuring food to eat or getting fuel for warmth.

WF-AID ground partners will travel by land, air and sea in India, Gaza, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan and Yemen to deliver warm packs to families who need it the most during the worst winter climates.

HOW YOUR DONATIONS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

India

This year has seen the cost of fuel rise dramatically, making it difficult for people in all parts of the world to heat their homes. Your contributions will help provide fuel to families in India so they can stay warm this winter.

Gaza

In the Gaza Strip, we are providing thick blankets to destitute and displaced widows and orphans whose houses were wrecked and livelihoods lost due to the recent flooding that resulted from the heavy rainfall. Many families are now living under the shelter of extended family members or depending on the kindness of the locals to get them through the merciless winter season. cost of fuel rise dramatically, making it difficult for people in all parts of the world to heat their homes. Your contributions will help provide fuel to families in India so they can stay warm this winter.

Your donation will help ensure these struggling local widows and orphans are protected from the harsh winter cold.

Lebanon

As the temperature drops this winter and the cost of living rises, millions of vulnerable people across the Middle East and Asia struggle to feed themselves and their families, let alone keep warm.

You can help protect families in South Lebanon from the harsh winter nights by providing them with gas heaters and fuel as well as coats, boots and blankets. We will also be providing food vouchers to Saadat families living in Lebanon.

Nepal

While the cold winter conditions affect everybody, their impact is felt particularly hard by some of society’s most vulnerable groups. In Kathmandu, your donations will go towards providing widows, orphans and disabled individuals with blankets so they can brave the winter months.

Pakistan

Many in Pakistan are still internally displaced after their homes were destroyed in the recent floods. They will be particularly vulnerable in the coming winter months.

WF-AID will be distributing tents to flood victims to protect them from the subzero conditions. We will also be supporting them with blankets/quilts, rugs, shawls and warm clothes to help them keep warm as the temperature drops.

Due to the stagnant water from the floods, the mosquito population has increased rapidly, increasing the spread of malaria and dengue fever. WF-AID will be providing families with cots and mosquito nets to help protect them from the parasite.

Yemen

In Yemen, for most of the year, the season is dry and hot, making the changeover to the severe, harsh winters, even tougher. Millions of Yemeni families face the possibility of not surviving this winter as the harshest weather conditions are swiftly approaching.

WF-AID aims to distribute blankets to widows and orphans to help them keep warm this winter.
