My name is Daud and I am 13 years old. I am the eldest son in a family of five living in a remote mountain village in Afghanistan. My father is unable to work due to a long-standing back injury, so the responsibility of providing for the household often falls to me. Thanks to the WF-AID Ramadhan Relief Fund, I collected a bag of rice, flour, sugar, oil, dates and tea from my village square for the Holy Month of Ramadhan. The rations meant my family could break our fasts properly throughout the month, and my mum could even invite our neighbors living alone to share iftar.
