Orphans

There are an estimated 150 million orphans in the world according to UNICEF, due to the loss of parents or as a result of war, natural disaster, poverty and disease.

There are thousands more who are not accounted for who remain unsupported.

WF-AID believes that every young child should have access to food, healthcare, education, shelter and emotional support. We aim to reach such children with these basic necessities and help them have a close to normal life.

In Imam ‘Ali (a)’s will to his sons Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn (pbut), he said: “Be wary of Allah regarding orphans. Do not allow them to starve and become lost whilst you are present.”
